Most people think vacation starts when they get on the plane.
For me, it starts days before.
It starts with making a list, thinking about outfits, picking up a few beauty favorites, getting a fresh pedicure, doing my own nails, and walking the aisles of my favorite stores looking for those last little things that make me feel prepared.
Before our Orlando trip, I stopped by Kohl's, Sephora, Ulta, and a local shoe store. Some things were planned, and some were little "this would be cute for vacation" moments. The funny part? A lot of my favorite finds were already in my Amazon Storefront because they're products I genuinely use and repurchase.
Over the years, I've learned that getting ready is part of the experience.
I don't rush through it anymore.
I enjoy it.
It's my way of slowing down before life speeds up again.
Preparing Is Self-Care
One of my favorite moments before every trip is taking care of myself.
Not because I need everything to be perfect, but because those little routines make me feel good.
Doing my own nails.
Getting a pedicure.
Trying a new lip combo.
Finding comfortable shoes I'll actually wear.
None of those things make the vacation better by themselves, but they help me arrive feeling refreshed, confident, and ready to enjoy the moments instead of worrying about everything else.
Sometimes self-care isn't a spa weekend.
Sometimes it's simply preparing with intention.
Then Came Orlando
Once we finally made it to Orlando, all the planning faded into the background.
The best memories weren't the things we bought.
They were the laughs, the conversations, the food, the random moments that weren't planned, and simply being together as a family.
Those are the moments that stay with me long after the suitcase is unpacked.
The older I get, the more I realize experiences are worth so much more than perfection.
What This Trip Reminded Me
Every vacation teaches me something, and this one was no different.
It reminded me to slow down.
To be present.
To stop rushing through the "before" because sometimes that's where some of the sweetest moments happen.
It reminded me that creating memories doesn't have to be extravagant. Sometimes it's shopping for the trip together, laughing over dinner, finding a new favorite product, or taking a picture you'll look back on years from now.
Most importantly, it reminded me why I work so hard to create options.
Not just to travel.
Not just to buy nice things.
But to have the freedom to spend quality time with the people I love most.
That's what success looks like to me.

Until the Next Adventure...
This trip gave us so many memories, but it also reminded me that the life we're building is about more than checking destinations off a list.
It's about intentionally creating moments that bring us closer, slowing down enough to enjoy them, and remembering that the little things often become the biggest memories.
Thanks for spending a little piece of our journey with us.
Until next time,
Stephanie 💕
